Privacy

cubes has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no cookies. This page lists everything it does store, where, and for how long.

On your device

cubes keeps a few small values in your browser's local storage so the game remembers you between visits:

• the display name you typed, so you don't have to type it again;
• a random player id and a per-room seat token, so a dropped connection gets your seat back and nobody else can take it;
• your preferences: light or dark theme, Night or Paper board, sound volume and music;
• your tutorial progress.

The site also caches its own files on your device so that games against bots work offline. You can remove all of it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

In online rooms

When you play online, the room you joined is stored on Cloudflare's network while it is in use. It holds the display names of the people in it, their random player ids and seat tokens, the game itself, and the last 30 chat messages. A room is deleted automatically 24 hours after its last activity. Nobody can find a room without its link.

Hosting

The site and the rooms run on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the IP address and request details needed to deliver the site, and keeps short-lived operational logs for the rooms service to diagnose errors. cubes does not use those logs to track or profile anyone, and does not sell or share any data.

Children

cubes collects no personal information beyond the display name you choose, which you can make up.
